RN to B.S. in Nursing(RN to BSN)

World Mission University offers a Bachelor of Arts in Science in Nursing Completion program requiring 30 credits of nursing courses. This program is designed as an academic progression model for current students in Associate Nursing Degree programs and practicing Registered Nurses, who desire to advance their education to the Bachelor of Science level.
This program provides opportunities for nurses to develop as nursing professionals and to pursue continuous improvement and self-development.

Admission Requirements

All applicants for the RN-BSN program will be required to have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA, completion of Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program, and an unencumbered RN license.

    • RN license in U.S. (Applicants can request extension if currently working towards license)
    • GPA 2.0 or higher

Admission from a foreign school must have transfer credits approved by WES, and students are responsible for any associated fees.

WES (World Education Services) (www.wes.org) Application Procedure

1. 1. Submit your application for course-by-course evaluation and receive your WES reference number.
   2. Read document requirements and request foreign schools to send in translated official transcripts directly to WES. Make sure to send your WES reference number as well so that foreign schools can write it on the envelope and official transcript.
   3. WES will verify credentials, create reports, and deliver it to WMU.

Graduation Requirements

In order to complete the program, students must have a minimum of 126 semester credits, which includes any transfer credits with a rating of C (2.0) or higher. Transfer credits may be granted up to 95 credits of the total 126 credit requirement.

Degree Requirement: 126 credits

General Education: 37 credits

Lower Division Courses: 43 credits

Bible/Theology Courses: 15 credits

Major Courses: 30 credits + Chapel (1 credit)

Field Practice

Field practice is conducted during NUR 342: Community and Public Health Nursing Practice. Students will conduct a project with a community-based clinical setting of their choice.

Student Chapel

Students are required to complete two semesters of PT211-212: Student Chapel, earning 0.5 credits for each semester. Student Chapel is offered on-campus and online, and is graded pass/fail. Course fees for Student Chapel are waived for students in the Nursing Department.

Tuition

Total tuition: $9,900 ($330 per credit x 30 credits)

Tuition is charged each semester by the number of credits enrolled. Total tuition for major courses taken during the entire program is $9900. Course fee for the 1 credit chapel course is waived for nursing students. Financial aid is available through FAFSA.

Additional expenses

Application fee: $300 (WAIVED if registration complete before June 30)
Course fees for incomplete prerequisite courses: $280-330 per credit
Book + material expenses, depending on the course

Additional expenses may be needed depending on the student’s situation. Application fee of $300 is required for all students, but if registration is complete before June 30, the fee is waived and credited towards your student account.
