Accreditation
World Mission University is accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education Commission on Accreditation (ABHE), 5850 T. G. Lee Blvd., Suite 130, Orlando, FL 32822; phone: 407-207-0808. ABHE accredits World Mission University to grant certificates and degrees at the Associate, Baccalaureate, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. The ABHE Commission on Accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) for certificates, diplomas, associate, baccalaureate, and graduate degrees, including doctoral degrees. The Commission’s scope of recognition with the U.S. Department of Education does not include doctoral education.

The School of Theology at World Mission University is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS), 10 Summit Park Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15275; phone: 412-785-6505.

In June 2023, the ATS Board of Commissioners approved a five-year experimental Doctor of Philosophy in Practical Theology degree, permitting the program to be completed in a reduced-residency format.
ABHE, ATS, and CCNE are accrediting agencies recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the U.S. Department of Education.
World Mission University has applied for Eligibility with the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). WSCUC has reviewed the application and determined that the institution is eligible to proceed with an Application for Accreditation.
A determination of Eligibility is not a formal accreditation status with WSCUC, nor does it ensure eventual accreditation. Eligibility is a preliminary finding that the institution is potentially accreditable and may proceed, within five years of the Eligibility determination, to be reviewed for Candidacy or Initial Accreditation status with the Commission.
